Ghost's and Goblin's BEWARE!

In a little over an hour this nice neighborhood will transform into a party for the spirits... and I am ready! It is cold and damp with a fine mist in the air. It couldn't be more perfect!
Happy Halloween!

Friday Fall Happy Hour!

Welcome Friday! Time to kick back and enjoy a Fall Apple Cosmo! I had a cocktail very similar a few weeks ago when Mr. Decor and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary with a dinner out. I enjoyed it so much I tried to recreate it at home after reading the ingredients on the menu. It contains apple flavored vodka, lime juice, cranberry juice and ginger syrup. The ginger syrup gives it a nice little bite. Sure to warm you and perfect for the season!

Fall Apple Cosmo

1-1/2 oz. Absolut Orient Apple
1 oz. ginger Syrup
1/2 oz. lime juice
dash of cranberry juice

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake.
Strain into a chilled martini glass and serve

Now, go light a fire, snuggle with your honey and relax. It's Friday! Enjoy the weekend!

A Feather Boa Holloween Wreath

Hello there! Well, I finally got around to creating and installing a new blog header! Whew! Creating the actual header was a piece of cake. It was INSTALLING it that was the problem! To give you an idea, I started the designing part at about 9:00 am. I finally finished and took a shower at 3:00 pm! There is a good reason why people pay other's to do this kind of stuff for them! Anyway, it's done, although I realized after the fact that I will be doing another one soon because I created a Fall theme! Ugh! Oh, well. I know how to do it now.
Now on to more important news: How a boa and a wreath got together.
While shopping in Michael's last week, I spied an orange and black feather boa and it didn't take long for me to imagine what I could do with this boa besides drape it around my neck. This literally took me about two minutes to put together by wrapping the boa around an 18" Styrofoam wreath form and securing each end with a floral pin. I used three boa's all together. I love how it looks hanging on the black door!
Hmmm...I wonder what I could do with a feather duster?

Country Living Fair 2012

I made it to the Country Living Fair again this year and it didn't disappoint! There is so much talent out there! It got my creative juices flowing. I want to do it all! There was so much to see I actually went back again on the last day!
I'll be back tomorrow with my new Halloween wreath made with a feather boa! Easiest wreath ever!
Enjoy!
